The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026 enlistment exercise for commissioned officers. Prospective applicants can begin the process online starting Friday, September 4, 2026.

Important Application Details

To participate in the recruitment process, applicants must first obtain an application voucher. These vouchers will be available for purchase at designated Ghana Post offices nationwide starting Thursday, September 3, 2026, for a fee of GH¢200.

Once a voucher is obtained, candidates are required to visit the official recruitment portal at apply.mil.gh to complete and submit their applications. The deadline for the submission of all applications is Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

Critical Warning: Beware of Fraudsters

In a statement signed by Captain (Ghana Navy) Veronica Adzo Arhin, the Acting Director General of Public Relations, the GAF issued a stern warning to the public regarding potential recruitment fraud. The military emphasized that it does not engage the services of middlemen, agents, or third-party recruiters.

"The Ghana Armed Forces wishes to emphasise that it does not engage the services of middlemen or agents, nor does it charge any additional fees for enlistment," the statement read. "Members of the public are therefore cautioned against making payments to individuals who claim to be agents, middlemen, or representatives of the Ghana Armed Forces."

How to Report Suspicious Activity

Applicants are urged to rely strictly on official communication channels, including the GAF’s official social media platforms and the newspapers where the advertisements were published (the Ghanaian Times on August 31 and the Daily Graphic on September 1).

If you encounter any suspected fraudulent activities related to this recruitment exercise, the GAF encourages you to report them immediately via the following contact numbers:

  • Phone: 0256 405 104
  • WhatsApp: 0256 405 154

Conclusion

Staying informed through official sources is the only way to ensure your application is handled correctly. By avoiding unauthorized agents and utilizing the official GAF portal, you can complete the 2026 enlistment process safely and securely.
